Wonderful Web-Site!! I visited there, from J-State, with Tim Thompson and "Motty", back in '86-'87. We had crazy times. "Biddy", "Eyes" and Tanya, Rev. and Mrs. Thompson, Brad, Stephanie, "Pud", "Dog", "Cheese", The Piggots, I'll never forget you guys. I was born in Bogalusa in 1957. My dad worked at the paper mill (our bread and butter), we moved to Georgia in the early 60's, my dad took a job at the paper mill in Rome, GA. I still have some family left in town and visit as often as I can. I remember the best po'boy at Mikes' and the sno cones with cream.

I was born and raised in Bogalusa. Graduated from Bogalusa High in 1966. Left for the service came back for 2 years then went on a mission for my church and came home in 1973. Left for B.R. I think that the city of Bogalusa should add a mural dedicated to David Stephen "Bear" Stewart to the murals on Willis Avenue. He is a true hero born and raised here. I think that it would help everyone to not forget such a wonderful and caring young man who left this world all too soon.

Hello. Looking for anyone that may have known my great-grandparents, Eddie and Gussie Kirkland, who lived in Bogalusa in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. They lived on Spring Valley Road and on Ave B. My youth group was in Bogalusa during our spring break for "extreme makeover: church edition"...I'll have to say that it was the best trip that I have ever taken with our group. The people of Bogalusa were so open to us...we had fun making over the 3 churches (Mt. Moriah, Whitehall, and 2nd Baptist) I want to thank Memorial Baptist for opening their homes to us. I went to BHS from 1978 to 1981 and worked for the Daily News from 1980 to 1989 I moved to Alabama and now I miss it there. Hello Bogalusa, I was born there in 1953 and to this date I love Bogalusa, Louisiana. I often talk about the town I was brought up in to many people.
